Sustainable Economy

We have developed two projects, which will eventually become self-sustained.

Sustainable production and trade

Latin America and Caribbean Footprint Initiative

Through the Latin America and Caribbean Footprint Initiative, we create the missing bridge between the region and sustainability initiatives that have an impact in the productive and export sector of the region.

We focus on five interconnected activities: awareness raising, knowledge sharing, capacity building, networking and alliances. We identify untapped potentials for collaboration, unlock new funding opportunities and create a bridge for cross-border knowledge exchange and capacity building on sustainability topics that are of relevance for the Latin America and the Caribbean productive and export sector.

What we do creates stronger relationships between stakeholders in developed countries and the LAC countries; we strive to achieve win / win business opportunities, partnerships and collaborations for all the involved.

Sustainable Farming

Demonstrative farm with independent energy systems

A pilot experience was established at Farm San Rafael of the company Agrovet San Ramón in Patuca, Olancho, Honduras.

The project focused on ecologic livestock management and an independent energy system consisting of a small biodigestor, solar panel and wind energy generator.

The owners of the farm are promoting the replication of the project in the region, and sharing expertise with local producers. The project targets climate change adaptation practices and sustainable production systems.

Resilient society

Our plan is to work with other organizations or projects, which are in need of support and through which we want to create capacities connected to export activities. We plan to support the following organizations.
